Okay - so you're fed up with Vista (which may be the case if you run a dodgy copy) LOL
If you have Windows XP though you can make it look just like Vista but without the price tags. There are 2 ways -

1. Download and install Windows Blinds which can skin XP to what you want. Its NOT free but you can trial it for 30 days and then if you buy the bundle it is $29.95 which is probably around £16 UK money I think

2. You can try making the changes following these instructions

When I am sure of the 2nd way I will post the info

Of those people that do not like Vista(KissMyGrits)   I am tired of people saying that they dont like Vista.. Hate to say it people.. Vista is the best operating system out there right now.. people just have to take the time to fine tune the program to their liking.. I mean come on.. Vista is suck a powerful program that it even learns for the user and its own system on how to perform better.. But sure if you want XP to look like Vista.. TWS has the right idea.. but does not make it Vista at all...

I agree Putz - at first I did find Vista a little awkward and admittedly thought XP was the way forward, but as soon as Microsoft got the service packs up and running, and as you say, with a few tweaks, it is a far superior system to XP now in my opinion

I will be trialling windows 7 (on my virtual drive) and see what is altered there too

But I do like Vista - I think the only issue was Microsoft probably rushed it just a bit too quick, and should have perhaps negotiated more support from the companies who produce hardware and software, so that it got off to as good a start as Windows XP had done when it was first released

I personally do not like Vista, because of it's power sucking features ^^
Heck, If I have to take a minimun of 512 Ram, Rec is 1gb, And I have 2gb, it's pointless really.
Considering on an Advent laptop I had recently with Vista on, I think it had 1gb ram, and was dual core (Don't remember much about the specs) was running a certan game at lets say, a constant 20FPS on medium-high, where as on XP I could run at double that constantly.
But the question is, Why install Vista on something that can't handle it? :P

I do like the features though, up to date on hardware too.
As for this pack, AFAIK , or maybe just for me, it does reduce performance slightly, and infact I currently use the Classic theme
I wish that the idiots of the world would freeze for 10 minutes.
Wow, it's quiet.
