Thanks, MrT! The member was me, and I actually do have a question about TVs, because I might have to buy a new one soon. Question: can anyone recommend a brand or model? I'd like it to be a flat-screen LCD, preferably digital, capable of taking cable signals, and it doesn't have to be big - 26" is ample (and the one I have at the moment is only 14") Comments of any kind are appreciated!

I prefer Sony... If you ask me I have never had a problem with any Sony TV that I have ever Had.. I would stay away from Vizio if possible.. not built very good and they need to upgrade the products big time.. I have never had a problem with JVC either.. I do have to admit that I like the LG TV's are probably the Best ones out there.. great quality great customer service Warranty is not bad... a little on the pricey side though..

Thanks for that. I've also read that LG is an excellent TV-maker

I have a 42inc plasma Philps tv which cost me around £800 what that is in euros I dont know. Minkey and TWS bought the same tv for £750 me believes. And now it is going for a staggering £500. Do yourself a favour and if you like the idea of plasma get a big one mate.

We have a Phillips but Sony or Panasonic are good bets, as is JVC All should come in at reasonable prices, but I'll check some options tomorrow and see what we come up with this end hirvi - putzey can you do the same?

What's the difference between plasma and LCD - can someone please put it in simple terms for a simple person?
